Remarks

There are pin-sized holes in the four corners of the work, presumably for hanging in an early show, perhaps by Thomson himself. This feature also appears in the following works: Burnt Country, Spring 1915 (1915.33), Dawn on Round Lake [Kawawaymog Lake], Fall 1915 (1915.115), and Aura Lee Lake, Spring 1916 (1916.55)
