Remarks

The work is mentioned in a letter from Alan H. Ross, Owen Sound, to Blodwen Davies, 1 June 1930, Library and Archives Canada, Blodwen Davies fonds MG30 D38. Ross was an amateur poet and on several occasions he and Thomson “collaborated, he taking the illustrating end.” The work, Ross recalled, hung for years in Leith School, but was “collared” by his sister.
